- How do I crop my photographs?
Once the image is in the picture box double click it. Using the grab handle in the bottom right of the highlighted area, move up or down to increase or decrease the size of the image. To move the highlighted area around, left click and drag to where it needs to be positioned. - How do I resize the image?
To resize the image click on the picture box and resize markers will become apparent. Using the blue dot markers drag these in or out to make the picture smaller or larger. - How do I rotate my image?
To rotate your image click on the green dot at the top left hand corner of the picture box and drag your mouse to turn the image. Pictures can also be flipped vertically and horizontally and this can be done from within the inspector toolbar on the right hand side. - How can I insert text into my photobook?
Inserting captions to your book or inserting text is easy. There are multiple font style, size and colours. To add text click on the add text button and then double click to enter. - Do I choose Upload or Save to Disk?
Upload allows you to upload the order to our server across the internet (preferred ption) Save to disk allows you to save your order to your local machine. You will then have to burn this onto a CD and post the CD on to us. - How do I add my photographs into the software?
To add your photos into the software, click on the “+” sign at the top left hand side of the software and browse to the folder where your pictures are located. Once the folder has been located, click on it and choose ok. These will then appear down the left hand side and you can then click and drag them anywhere onto your page or choose the autoflow option. - How do I insert photos into the templates?
Simply select the photo from the left hand side of the page, left click and drag and drop into the picture box. - How do I use page styles and backgrounds and incorporate them into my book?
To use any of the page styles or backgrounds we have created, simply select your page style or background from the library and drag it onto the required page. - What are the red and blue lines around the edge of the pages?
The blue line indicates the edge of the page. The red line is the trim line and anything that exceeds this line will be lost. When creating a spread or a full page layout we recommend you take the image to the blue line, this is to reduce the chance of white marks around the edge of the paper. - How do I add more pages into my photobook?
Simply click on 'Pages' at the top of the screen and choose add. This will add one single page at the end of your photobook. You can also insert a new spread between existing ones by highlighting the existing spread and choosing 'Pages' 'Insert'. This will then insert a new spread before the current one. - What is autoflow and how do i use this functionality?
The autoflow button is used in conjunction with the page styles. It is designed to fill your photo book for you. When you use this function the program will populate your book for you with page styles and your images depending on whether you choose “picture order” or “picture orientation”. To get the most out of this functionality, we recommend you create a folder on your pc/mac and add into the folder just the images you wish to use and correct the orientation. This will make the auto flow more fluent and time effective. - I have an exclamation mark across the picture what does this mean?
This means the image has a low resolution compared to the size of the picture box. You have three options to rectify this: 1. Reduce the size of the image until it has a higher resolution and the warning sign disappears. 2. leave the image as it is in the knowledge the print quality won’t be as good as the other images without a warning icon. (You will be reminded of the low quality image before you confirm your order). 3. You can replace the image with a higher resolution.
